ABOUT MUSIC IN ADDERBURY

This series was founded in 1987 by Christopher Windass, a
violinist with many of the country’s ensembles, chamber and
symphony orchestras, as well as having a lifelong passion for
chamber music.

The series takes place in the glorious setting of Adderbury
Parish Church. This stunning venue has played host to concerts
featuring many of the country’s most brilliant musicians and
chamber ensembles.

Visiting groups have included:
Guildhall String Ensemble, Medici String Quartet, Brodsky String
Quartet, Brindisi String Quartet, Lyric String Quartet, Rogeri Trio,
Praga Ensemble, Schubert Ensemble of London, Maggini String
Quartet, Kriesler String Orchestra, Bochmann String Quartet,
Emperor String Quartet, Kent String Trio, Romanesca, Endymion
Ensemble, Eroica String Quartet, Fine Arts Brass Ensemble and
many more.

There have been over 100 concerts given in the church as part
of Music in Adderbury. Some well-known musicians who have
taken part include:
